Matt

Hi, I'm Matt, I got involved after a couple of mates helped me through some of my own struggles with the pressures of life. That experience made me realise just how many blokes out there are feeling lost in a world that can be really complicated - trying to keep it all together, but not always having anyone to really talk to that will listen.

I'm here because, like a lot of men, I get it. Life can be a real juggle - work, family, commitments, expectations - and it's not always easy. Walk for a Bloke is about creating a space where men can slow down, be real, have a chat, and share stories. A space where we've got each other's backs.

It's simple, but it's powerful - and it's something I think we all need more of.

Bryan

Hi, I'm Bryan, I joined Walk for a Bloke because men's mental health is deeply personal to me. Having faced my own challenges with mental health over the years, I know how isolating it can feel - and how powerful even one supportive conversation can be.

This campaign reminds us that small steps truly matter. I'm walking to help break the stigma, to encourage honest conversations, and to show that reaching out for help is a sign of courage, not weakness. Together, we can make it easier for men to speak up, connect, and keep moving forward - one bloke and one step at a time.

After the walk

Lunch is available at the finish venue after the walk. It's not included in your ticket, but it's a good reason to stick around.

Family and supporters are welcome to meet you at the finish line and join the celebrations. You don't need to complete the full distance. The point is showing up.

Can't finish? That's fine. Let a volunteer know and exit the course at any point.

What to bring

At least 1L of water: a small backpack or camel pack works well
