Walk Leader, Perth

Overcoming my own adversities, I am here to create a positive impact for others. The Spoke To A Bloke initiative resonates deeply with me. I'm excited and very proud to represent positive change for other males, including my son. I wish to honor the memory of Derek and Steve and continue to raise awareness for all males out there struggling in silence. Join with me, Let's walk, talk and support each other one step at a time.

Walk Leader, Perth

I'm a family man and runner from the Perth Hills, walking to support Men's Health and Mateship. Next time you ask, "How's it going?", take a moment to truly listen. Don't just ask out of habit, show real interest and try to make their day better. We often ask, but don't really hear the answer. I may not know what every bloke is going through, but if you're still fighting, I'm proud of you. Keep going. We're all in this together.

Andrew Cross

Andrew Cross

Walk Leader, Perth

Army veteran, IT manager, husband and dad of five. Twelve years of service shaped who he is, and what he knows about men and connection. These days he's happiest bringing people together: cycling, sport, cooking low-and-slow on the smoker, or just having good people around the table. He found Spoke to a Bloke looking for something for himself, and stayed to help build it for everyone else. His goal: make genuine conversation between men completely normal.

After the walk

Lunch is available at the finish venue after the walk. It's not included in your ticket, but it's a good reason to stick around.

Family and supporters are welcome to meet you at the finish line and join the celebrations. You don't need to complete the full distance. The point is showing up.

Can't finish? That's fine. Let a volunteer know and exit the course at any point.

What to bring

At least 1L of water: a small backpack or camel pack works well
